January 2008 - God's Wisdom for the New Year
"Walk With God" - featured designer: Stacy Rictor
1. Using "Fall Cords" for the base, trim  "Dog Solid Cran" apx. 11 x 11 and trim pink paper
apx. 10 x 10. Layer and adhere to base paper as shown.
2. Trim "Gingko" apx 10 x 10 and adhere to bottom right corner, apx. 1/2 inch
from bottom and right edges.
3. Trim "Grant's Room Corduroy" apx 1.5 x 12 inches and layer over all,
forming a border strip from top to bottom.
4. Hand cut flowers [or you may want to use a die cut] from pink paper. Mat
with "Fall Cords" [may cut this area from base paper that is not showing on
front of layout.] Cut the whole flower in half and tuck behind border strip near
the top of white paper.
5. Layer flower with mat over border strip. Embellish with individual sequins -
on each petal and forming a circle for the center of flower.
6. Hand cut or trim title with die cut machine. Adhere to layout. verses above
and below the title.
                                           February 2008 Love, Actually
                            "Jesus Valentine" - featured designer: Terrie Logan
                            1. Trim two border pieces from patterned paper as shown, ink and adhere to bottom of pink
                                              background paper apx. 1 inch and three inches from the bottom.
2. Trim circle from patterned paper, ink and adhere to center, overlapping the top border.
3. Trim hearts from patterned paper; ink and adhere to layout, tucking one underneath bottom border.
4. Mat and adhere photos over circle, overlapping slightly.
5. Hand cut photo corner and place over top corner of right photo.
6. Journal "Jesus Loves Me" on paper strips, ink and adhere.
7. Journal underneath bottom border strip.
8. Add stamped embellishment if desired.  
                             March 2008 [Girl] Friends -- featured designer: Kim Fleming
                             1. Using the purse kit, create an 8 page "booklet" for the inside -
                             2. Cut out file folders [using kit pattern - cardstock works as well] and cover them with solid papers that matched the
                                               paisley purse, ink liberally around all edges.
                             3. Punch holes and using a pencil as a spacer tie ribbon to form booklet.
                             4. Print memory verses on solid color cardstock [Kim used verse cards from her current  8 week Bible study] , ink      
                                               edges to coordinate.  
5. Hand cut a layered flower - adhere to front of purse booklet. Place initial on the flap, and use a 'frame' from the purse kit to label the
contents: "Verse Purse" - place it so the flap slides down in and holds the purse closed.
6. Kim suggests adding a gem from your own stash to the center of the flower and states the, "booklet is removable so you can create
another memory verse booklet to replace it when you are done memorizing the first group. It looks cute sitting on the desk."

April 2008 His Resurrection -- featured designer: Judy Hardwick
1. Using "This is the Day" paper as your base, trim above and below "This is the" with a craft knife.
2. Trim striped paper apx. 1.5 inches; slip underneath cuts made above so that it is overlapped with the
words on the paper. Adhere to paper.
3. Trim photo mats from brown gingham paper: one 5x7, two 3 1/4, and one 3 3/4.
4. Adhere 5x7 photo to mat and wrap with fiber, leaving some hanging from the bottom. Adhere remaining
photos and adhere to layout.
5. Paint fish [choose a color from the beads], let dry and glue beads to fish using liquid glue. Adhere to
layout in upper right corner.
6. Trim [ ] from blue square of paper. Adhere to page and hand write journaling.
May 2008 - Heritage -- featured designer: Linda Harvey

  1. Mat 5x7 photo with yellow [apx. 5.25 x 7.25]l and purple [5.5x7.5] and adhere to center of
    background [flower paper.]
  2. Trim and place rub-on embellishments as follows: 'family history' vertical in upper left of layout; 'My
    Legacy' and tree across the top and to the upper right of layout; and 'journals are treasure and
    'Learning about My Lineage' in lower right corner.
  3. Hand journal above the photo with green pen.
June 2008 - Celebrate - featured designer: Adeanna Bennett:
  1. Using purple as the base of the layout, place fabric stickers at top and bottom for borders.
  2. Measure and trip eight photos to fit in middle of layout, leaving space for coordinating mini-clipboard.
  3. Trim mats 1/4 inch larger than photos, mat, and adhere to layout, being careful to line vertical rows up
    straight and keep space between photos equal.
  4. Place mini-chipboard in vacant area. Handwrite journaling on paper or vellum and adhere to chipboard.
    [Journaling is also placed under top border and below photos as desired.]
July 2008 - With God All Things Are Possible - featured designer: Adriann Sims
  1. Using light green paper as the base of layout, stamp, or hand- draw lines [with wide-tip marker]  around
    the  edges, overlapping at corners as shown.
  2. Trim photo into a 4 x 4 square; trim  blue / green strip paper apx. 2.5 x 5. Adhere to page in upper right
    corner, tucking paper underneath photo.
  3. Stamp, or hand-draw a journaling block underneath photo.
  4. Adhere button to center of flower and place on left side of layout. [Stamp over flower petals with
    contrasting ink for dimension.]
  5. Tear the flower stem from blue / green strip paper and adhere [with end under  flower's edge.]
  6. Trim leaves from leaf paper and adhere in the middle so that edges of leaves can be rolled forward.
  7. Add sticker verse between flower leaf and petals.
August 2008 - Oh! Happy Day! - featured designer: Lisa Jamerson
  1. Using the pumpkin paper as the base for layout, trim patterned square paper to apx 6 x 12 inches and
    adhere tot he center of the layout.
  2. Trim sage paper apx. 1x 12 inches and place horizontally across layout apx. 4 inches from the top. Place
    denim pocket below this border, adhering around the edges only to forma pocket on your page.
  3. Journal on tags and tuck into pocket.
  4. Trim sage from sage paper using a diecut machine or by hand. Rub-on the letters, 'fun.' adhere as
    shown. Place three flowers on the page forming a visual triangle.
  5. Adhere photos as shown.
November 2008 Give Thanks
  1. Using yellow paper as the base, trim two inch strip from striped paper. Adhere
    approximately one inch from the right side of layout, as shown.
  2. Trim photo mat [8x6] from and circle from red card stock.Adhere photo and adhere
    all to layout approximately one inch from top and left side of layout.
  3. Place "Give Thanks" transparency under photo.
  4. Trim lined leave paper and adhere side-by-side under quote. Trim 1/2 inch strip of
    green paper and place over bottom edge of leaf paper.
  5. Finish with circle placed tot he left of green paper. Hand-write or print date with label
    maker.

December 2008 I Believe in the Joy of Christmas
  1. Using yellow patterned paper as the base of layout, trim, "Time with Family..."
    quote and photo mat [8x6] from green CR Gibson paper.Adhere to layout as
    shown. Place 5x7 photo on mat.
  2. Hand trim Christmas trees from green paper [triangles, small strips and hand-
    drawn pots] Adhere to paper as shown, overlapping and letting one 'bleed' off the
    page. Hand cut stars from pink paper, adhere to trees.
  3. With thin black marker trace the outline of trees and stars with a combination of
    straight and small wiggly lines, as shown. Repeat these lines around the quote,
    photo, and photo mat.
  4. Using paint and pencil eraser put multi-color [two shades of pink and light yellow]  
    dots on the trees. After drying draw circles around the dots.
