December 2009 - What Christmas Means to Me

Highlight your beliefs surrounding the Christmas season

Must include: two-toned title, hand cut and decorated tree,
lined paper, sewing on the page, and journaling about your
Christmas beliefs;
Scripture: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one
and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but
have eternal life.” John 3:16
January -:  Everyday Blessings

Highlight the things [people – places - things] that make
your ‘everyday’ just a little brighter.
Or maybe, the things
that just help you make it through the day, because aren’t these
little things a blessing too?
Must include: Chipboard letters, three of your favorite colors,
three ribbon tabs, and a row of flowers

February - Love

Size: one or two page layout – any size
Colors: brown, pink, maroon
Photos: 2-3
Embellishments: three hearts, journaling in strips of paper
Technique: Hand / machine stitching
Scripture:"Kiss me again and again, for your love is sweeter than wine." Song of Songs 1:2
May
April  - Joy [or your word for the year]
Photo[s] – one large photo depicting your word in some way – cut in a circle; + smaller
photos if you want
Papers – at least three solid colors, not including white [white may be used – but you
need 3 additional colors]
Embellishments – three small flowers, three brads or snaps, and border of patterned
paper
Technique – verse / quote / or journaling on strips of paper
Scripture – John 15:11, “I will fill you with joy and your joy will overflow!” [New Living
Translation] – or a verse or quote that represents your word for this year.
June
March - Grateful
Photo
– one or more, matted on white paper / cardstock
Colors - your choice
Papers – at least two different patterned papers
Embellishments – two flowers, two buttons, at least one journal block, an arrow,
ribbon, and other trim
Technique – painted or inked title: grateful
Scripture – above, “What no eye has seen , what no ear has heard, and what no
human mind has conceived – these things God has prepared for those who love Him.”
