Kim Harris lives in Farmington, Missouri ( a small town south of St. Louis.) She has been scrap booking for the past 10 years and stamping for the past 8 years.
Kim loves bulky pages and the distressed look. Her favorite subjects to scrapbook are her husband of 17 years and her two wonderful daughters. The reason she
puts faith on her pages is because she wants to share with future generations how much God has meant in their lives. She says, "I feel it is also a way for me to
share God with others in my life today as they look in my scrapbooks. It is kind of an ice breaker to get the subject started. "
Lynn Hurst has been scrap booking for 12 years and still considers herself a beginning scrap booker even when others have a different opinion. She tries to
keep her pages simple, so that people will not get intimidated by them. She wants to show everyone that they also can scrapbook, especially those who think
that they cannot. Lynn states, "About 5 years ago, God asked me to start telling others about what He was doing in my life. He said telling my life was great,
but He wanted me to show others how He was working in my life. At that time it was all new to me. So I slowly started to put God into my work and from there a
whole new scrap booking style was born. I now feel compelled to tell everyone what God is doing in my life. I speak at different events throughout the year. I
believe that my trials and outcomes can encourage others." Her favorite scrapbook subjects are her family and lessons that God is teaching her. She says,
"and sometimes those lessons do not always show me in the best of circumstances. But God is always glorified."
Marlae has lived in Hopkins County, Kentucky for most of her life. She started scrap booking after the birth of her son and has been scrap booking for about
eight years. Although during much of that she didn't consider herself a scrap booker but rather an avid collector of scrap booking supplies. She is the wife of
a wonderful Christian man and together they are very active in our small church. Marlae has three children who are growing up way too fast. She describers
herself as an "old school scrap booker: photos, paper, stickers and Journaling." So she pushes herself to take her own advice and try new things. Sometimes,
she's not satisfied with the results but the important thing is that I get my story on paper. She states, "At one time I felt guilty about scrap booking: spending so
much time, energy and money. It was almost like I was worshiping my children. *Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also* (Matt. 6:21) Then I
invited Jesus to join me in my favorite hobby. Jesus is a part of every other aspect of my life. Why was I leaving Him out of the record of our lives? Yes, I
want my children to remember their birthday parties. But more important, I want them to have some insight into my experiences as I walk with Christ."
Pam Stein was born in Memphis, TN and currently lives in Bartlett, TN . She has been scrap booking since January 1998 . Pam describes her style as, "clean
and simple with occasional flourishes." She prefers "flat" scrap booking and pages where the photos take precedence. Pam puts faith on her pages because
she wants future generations to know her love for Christ and how much she depends on Him in all that she does. She wants them to never be ashamed to
proclaim their own faith. She states her father was considered the "family photographer" and now she is carrying on his legacy. Pam's favorite scrap booking
subjects are her family, pets, and nature.
Gennie has been scrapping for about 6 years and loving it. She is totally passionate about her favorite thing to do. When she saw her very first scrapbook
page, 8 years ago, she liked the concept but not all the white space. Two years later a colleague at work brought her album in and Gennie was hooked!
That's what she wanted to do! There was a lot of color and the pages were fun! She started her first album a week later and hasn't looked back. Originally from
Australia, Gennie with her husband and children, are currently serving the Lord in Africa where she has learned the art of online ordering of supplies and
friendship through online scrap booking groups. She loves challenges and trying new supplies and techniques. Her current favorites are inking and stamping
on her pages and using die cut letters for big titles. She mainly scraps photos of her adorable children, her relationship with God, and their friends and lives in
Africa. She hopes to leave behind a legacy of faith in God and how awesome He has been in their lives.
